Looking West from Grant Peak Across the Summit Plateau (6 of 12)

2002-06-25: The summit of Mt Baker was windy - you can see my axe leash blowing to one side - and occasionally smelly, due to sulfur emmisions from the volcanic crater just to the south. It was also relatively crowded, being a weekend morning with good weather - you can see distant teams moving across the plateau in this shot.
