Banned in Eastlake!

2002-07-30: I took a shot of the Lynn Street Mini-Park earlier this month, just after it reopened. Unfortunately, it seems that since then, a "citizen" complained about the "alcohol theme" in some of the tiles decorating the park. Four of the tiles - including the three above - are now slated to be removed. A pity, as far as I'm concerned, especially once you learn the story behind the tiles. (Picture from Monday; see related story in the Seattle Times for more information.)

Update: As of Tuesday morning, it looks like the tiles can stay. Kudos to Seattle Parks and Recreation.
